Pickleball at Petrovietnam’s Celebration of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union’s 94th Anniversary

In a spirited tribute to the 94th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Communist League, the Petrovietnam community brought its energy courtside—with a thrilling Pickleball tournament that united youth, camaraderie, and competitive fire.

Held on March 16, 2025, the tournament was more than just a sporting event. Organized by the Petrovietnam Youth Union Coordination Group – Ho Chi Minh City, the day gathered nearly 100 passionate athletes and supporters from various affiliated units of Petrovietnam. Together, they created an electrifying festival of sport to mark the March 26 founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union (1931–2025).

“The spirit of ‘work hard, play harder’ was on full display,” said one tournament participant, capturing the energy that fueled the games and the people behind them.

The Pickleball matches showcased a vibrant mix of athleticism, strategy, and perseverance. From high-stakes rallies to sharply executed plays, players brought their best to the court—turning the tournament into a display of both personal grit and collective pride.

Among the standout performers was the PTSC Corporation, whose athletes brought home top honors with powerful performances:

• Women’s Doubles Champions: Le Anh Thu (Office) and Tu Khanh Mai (Commerce Department)

• Men’s Doubles Champions: Pham Vu Quang (Quality and Safety Department) and Nguyen Thanh Quang (Human Resource Management Department)

• Men’s Doubles Runners-Up: Vu Van Lam (Commerce Department) and Hoang Dat Thanh (Project Department)

More than a competition, the event served as a platform for connection. It encouraged cross-departmental exchange, strengthened team bonds, and highlighted the importance of physical activity as a core value within Petrovietnam’s culture.
