Pickleball in Malaysia has officially arrived on the big stage. With its fast-paced rallies and social appeal, the sport has been growing rapidly across the country—and now, it’s celebrated a landmark moment with the successful debut of the Malaysia Super Pickleball League (MSPL) and the completion of the first tournament at the country’s only Grandstand Championship Court.
“The launch of MSPL and our Grandstand Championship Court is a major step in advancing pickleball in Malaysia,” said Low Chung King, owner of the Grand Pickleball Arena (GPA). “This facility will host high-calibre tournaments, develop local talent, and prepare players for international competition.”
A Championship Venue Now in Full Swing
The Grandstand Court—Malaysia’s first stadium-style pickleball venue—made a powerful impression. With 300 spectator seats and 16 pro-level courts, the Grand Pickleball Arena officially soft-launched on March 1, 2025, marking a new era for competitive pickleball in Southeast Asia.
Players and fans alike embraced the professional atmosphere. Matches held under stadium lighting, roaring applause from the stands, and a vibrant community vibe gave the entire league a big-league energy.
MSPL Sets the Bar for Competitive Pickleball in Malaysia
The Malaysia Super Pickleball League, now officially wrapped, brought together the best of Malaysian pickleball talent. Eight teams, each made up of seven standout players chosen from a field of 166 contenders, competed across four thrilling matchdays: February 8, 9, 16, and the grand finale on March 1.
With RM21,000 in total prize money on the line, the tournament quickly became one of Malaysia’s most prestigious and rewarding pickleball events. It was more than just a series of matches—it was a celebration of the sport’s incredible rise and a showcase of elite skill, teamwork, and strategy.
“This league is a turning point for Malaysian pickleball,” said Brandan Gabriel Lai, League Commissioner and co-founder of Infinity Sport Academy, the event’s organizer. “The Grandstand Court is a game-changer, offering the perfect arena for players to compete at the highest level and for fans to witness world-class pickleball action.”

According to player rankings tracked by the Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR), Malaysia is among the world’s fastest-growing pickleball nations. The MSPL is proof of that progress. By delivering a world-class competition and showcasing local talent, it has elevated Malaysia’s presence on the international pickleball map.
For fans, the Grand Pickleball Arena offers an ongoing opportunity to engage with the sport. Courts are available for public booking via Courtsite, and more tournaments and clinics are already being planned.
