PATTAYA, THAILAND – March 4-9, 2025 – The Asia Pickleball Open, part of the WPC Series, brought top players from across Asia and beyond to the Greta Resort and Sport Club in Pattaya, Thailand. Organized by Pickleball Global, this Tier 4 tournament featured exciting matches across different age groups and skill levels, making it a standout event on the pickleball calendar.
Rising Stars in the Youth Division
The junior players showcased their incredible talent and determination.
In the Boys 14U Singles, Hamin Choi won the gold medal, defeating Jungwoo Lee in a hard-fought final. Choi and Lee then teamed up to win the Boys 14U Doubles, proving their strong partnership on the court.
The Boys 18U Singles title went to Bhannawitch Busarakul, while he and Yonglin He dominated the Boys 18U Doubles, taking home another championship.
Intense Competition in the Adult Divisions
The 19+ categories were filled with high-energy matches and skilled performances.
In the Men’s 19+ Doubles 5.0+, Vanshik Kapadia and Tejas Mahajan claimed victory, defeating Ricky Lin and Martin Clark in a close final. The Mixed 19+ 5.0+ title went to Kai Fen Yi and Ricky Lin, an unstoppable duo throughout the tournament.
In singles action, Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma won the Men’s 19+ Singles 5.0+, while Anna Clarice Patrimonio took gold in the Women’s 19+ Singles 5.0+ category.

Experienced Players Shine in Senior Divisions
The 35+, 50+, and 60+ divisions were packed with experienced competitors who displayed skill and strategy.
In the Men’s 35+ 5.0+ Singles, Himanshu Dewaskar secured the top spot. I Gusti Ngurah Alit Putra Hariwibawa performed exceptionally well across multiple events, excelling in both singles and doubles.
In the Men’s 60+ 5.0+ Doubles, Bhushan Akut and Thakurdas Rohira emerged as champions, showing their expertise and teamwork.
For the women, the 50+ 5.0+ Doubles gold went to Kamonthip Tachasakulmas and Pini Lee, who dominated the competition.
Exciting Mixed Doubles Matches
Mixed doubles was one of the tournament’s highlights, bringing fast-paced rallies and impressive teamwork.
In the Mixed 35+ 5.0+ division, Isha Lakhani and Carlos Rubio secured the gold medal. Meanwhile, the Mixed 60+ 5.0+ title went to Jan Papi and Mariko Takayasu, proving that age is no barrier to success in pickleball.
