Malaysia has reached an exciting milestone in sports development with the inauguration of its first dedicated Pickleball Stadium at Kenanga Wholesale City (KWC) Fashion Mall in Kuala Lumpur. This pioneering initiative was officially launched by the Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Hannah Yeoh, as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, “Free Pickleball for School.”
Free Access to Training and Equipment for Students
Under the management of E-Motion Sdn. Bhd., this state-of-the-art facility aims to make pickleball more accessible to young Malaysians. As part of its CSR commitment, the company provides free court access, training sessions, and essential equipment—including paddles and balls—to all national primary school students. This program is available on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, ensuring that students can participate in the sport without financial barriers.

Aligning with National Sports Vision 2030
This initiative supports the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ (KBS) broader mission to foster a strong sporting culture and encourage healthier lifestyles among Malaysians. It also aligns with the National Sports Vision 2030, which emphasizes public-private partnerships to drive sports development and participation nationwide.
KBS highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing sports. “We hope more private companies and other stakeholders come forward in implementing sports-related CSR because the development of the country’s sports is a joint responsibility and requires a whole-of-nation approach.”
A Bright Future for Pickleball in Malaysia
The launch of Malaysia’s first pickleball stadium is expected to generate greater interest in the sport, providing young athletes with the foundation to develop their skills and compete at higher levels. By making pickleball more accessible, this initiative not only promotes active lifestyles but also lays the groundwork for the sport’s long-term growth across the nation.
