On March 16, the Ellicam Cup 2025 officially served up an unforgettable weekend of pickleball action in the heart of Vietnam’s capital. Held at the Game On Pickleball court in Nam Tu Liem District, the two-day event wasn’t just a tournament—it was a celebration of sport, community, and innovation, marking a pivotal moment in the rapid rise of pickleball across the country.

Organized by OF.FB Forum, ICAR Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Heyner Germany, the Ellicam Cup 2025 brought together 108 passionate players and hundreds of supporters under the dynamic slogan: “Persistence to Win – Persistence to Finish – Persistence to Succeed.” This powerful message, inspired by ICAR’s Ellicam dash cam line, perfectly captured the spirit of a tournament that blended fierce competition with a deep sense of camaraderie.

A New Era for Pickleball in Vietnam

For many in Hanoi, this wasn’t just another sporting event—it was a milestone. Pickleball, a fast-paced sport that fuses the best of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, is taking off in Vietnam thanks to its accessibility and inclusive nature. Men and women, young and old, beginners and seasoned athletes all found common ground on the court.

To foster this growing movement, the tournament featured three competitive categories: Men’s Doubles A (advanced), Men’s Doubles B (intermediate), and Mixed Doubles. Each match was played with energy, heart, and the unmistakable joy that pickleball brings to its players.

Skills, Strategy, and a Superstar Coach

Adding to the tournament’s buzz was a special workshop on March 15 led by international pickleball expert Peter Caetano. Dozens of eager players attended the session, which offered an invaluable opportunity to sharpen their technique, refine strategies, and connect with others passionate about the sport.

Champions Crowned, Community Celebrated

By the end of the tournament, new champions had emerged, but every participant walked away with something meaningful. In the Men’s Doubles A division, the powerhouse duo of Vo Manh Hung and Lam Van Khoi clinched the top spot, while Pham Cuong and Hoang Hai earned second place, and Pham Van Son and Nguyen Tuan Anh took third.

The Men’s Doubles B category saw Nguyen Duy Hieu and Tran Ngoc Ninh triumph, with Pham Van An and Le Nhu Hieu and the team of Nguyen Danh Hien and Van Ba Hoi finishing second and third respectively.

In the highly anticipated Mixed Doubles division, Dang Hong Son and Ngo Minh Nguyet claimed victory, followed by Bui Manh Hieu and Doan My Linh, and Nguyen Duy Hieu and Hoang Tran Xuan Huyen in second and third.

Tech Meets Sport: A Unique Community Blend

More than just a sports tournament, the Ellicam Cup brought together leading voices from Vietnam’s vibrant automotive and tech communities. Well-known figures like Mr. Le Hung (Autodaily), Mr. Tung Anh (Trang Auto), and Ms. Diem Hang (OF.FB community founder) contributed to the electric atmosphere, sharing insights and creating powerful connections across industries.

Backed by a robust lineup of sponsors—including Global, MTS Audio, Dsmart, NAS, MobiFone, and Game On—the event featured VND 200 million in total prize value. Alongside trophies, medals, and cash prizes, winners also received premium Ellicam dash cam products, further reinforcing the tournament’s tech-forward theme.

Transparency and professionalism were key priorities for organizers, with the Ellicam camera system ensuring real-time match updates and media coverage. Every detail was meticulously handled, setting a new standard for pickleball events in the region.

More Than a Match—A Movement

The Ellicam Cup 2025 was a testament to how sport can bring people together, ignite passion, and build community. With support from media outlets like OF.FB, Autodaily, and Trang Auto, the event reached far beyond the court, resonating with a broad audience of sports lovers and tech enthusiasts alike.

Founded in 2011, the OF.FB community now counts over 1.4 million members across Vietnam. Known primarily as a hub for auto fans, it has evolved into a powerful platform for promoting positive lifestyle values, cultural exchange, and now, emerging sports like pickleball.

This tournament may have wrapped, but its impact is just beginning. As the pickleball movement gains momentum in Vietnam, events like the Ellicam Cup are lighting the way for future players, fans, and communities.
